Today my friends, we live in a world that’s completely drowning in testosterone boosters! Quite literally that is – the variety of these supplements is so vast that not even Mr. Einstein would’ve been able to grasp it probably. But hey, variety is generally a good thing, isn’t it? It gives us the chance to try out something new and not get bored to death.

To continue on the novelty side, yours truly will be giving you my intake on yet another booster that promises maximum gains, increased vascularity, more mental focus, reduced body fat and so on, and so on… All the fancy elements pretty much!

Thinking about it now, these promises are nothing new to be perfectly honest. And even if I was NOT honest with you, it would still hold true! The real mind-boggling question has to be – does this product deliver? We’ll get to that!

Overview

Stepping on the scene is this new player, called thematically Somatodrol. Yeah, it DOES sound like some weird steroid or prohormone even, whether that was intentional by the guys who designed it remains unclear.

What do I think? I believe it wasn’t unintentional to put that name on a testosterone booster – after all, if you tell your friends you’re taking something ending on “…drol” they’ll think very highly of you! Jokes aside, even if the name of a certain product helps you in terms of placebo, let it be – as long as it works as intended, I see no harm.

Created by an Irish company with the (once again) intriguing name Iridium Labs, this one is promoted as a complex hormone activator. That I think is supposed to mean that it activates the androgen activity in your body, namely an increase in one’s testosterone production. Right, Iridium Labs?

The main perks of this supplement (as showcased by the manufacturer) are the following:

  • More lean muscle mass
  • More energy levels
  • More ripped body look
  • Faster results

The latter sounds especially plausible from my view. If it helps to speed your progress in the gym, for instance, that’s awesome by itself. Now, being more ripped, having more energy and more muscles could, of course, be attributed to… yep, our favorite hormone – big T! Maybe you can even check if you can optimize it naturally… mhm?

Okay, enough with the general information about Somatodrol, you’re probably wondering…

Somatodrol and a lot of blister packs

Who is Somatodrol suited for?

Any men, gentlemen, male, alpha, beta, omega… Basically, If you have a package in your pants, that’s more than enough to qualify for Somatodrol! Of course, you ladies (if any of you are actually reading this) better stay away from our toys! That is if you don’t want to grow yourself some think beard plus the added bonus of a deeper voice.

But please, don’t take this too literally please – you’ll only ever start to transform into a man if you abuse anabolic steroids! Alright, so that’s that for clarifying on who can take what. However, let me throw a quick list to compile all the possible candidates for this:

  • Guys who want more vascularity (in certain body parts too!)
  • Gym rats with the desire to make the most of their workouts
  • Older folks looking for a natural way to optimize their testosterone

For me, this is who Somatodrol is suited for, really. Might throw away the shiny and often times exaggerated claims of hyper muscle mass, single-digits body fat, testosterone levels of Arnold and Stallone combined etc.

It’s real talk here so I’ll skip the bull yo, hope you don’t mind! Time to share MY testimony!

Sign in rich red that says important

My personal experience with Somatodrol

Long story short – I didn’t turn into Ronnie Coleman! What a shocker, right? Okay, I was ridiculously close to achieving just that though!

Fun aside, my dosing protocol was 4 caps/day which is exactly the maximum recommended dose by the manufacturer. This means it ONLY lasted me 15 days, but hey – if it does the trick I can live with that. Did it deliver the good stuff, however?

Overall I was expecting more to be perfectly honest, regardless that straight away I knew that some key ingredients were underdosed (hello d-aspartic acid). Main points from my cycle on this were:

  • Deeper voice (was rather cool)
  • More energy/less fatigue
  • Awesome boners
  • Slightly more libido

No, I can’t report anything of-another-world or a crazy epithet of this sort. It did some of the elements it was designed to tweak, however other areas were left untouched, so to speak.

In an unfortunate chain of events, I even got some shitty flu during my time on Somatodrol which added frustration to the whole process. Anyhow, I’m pleased but not over the moon with this one – I’ve had better!

By the way, would you be interested in me telling what’s inside this T-booster? Good, good my friend. Please, proceed!

Formula

The very long ingredient profile of Somatodrol
Sorry for the image quality – but come on, it’s readable enough!!

Nothing mind-blowing, yet proven and well-known ingredients were used in the formulation process for this product. This is a plus in my book since they obviously didn’t go for something out-of-this-world, crazy kind of new revolutionary plant, instead, the manufacturer went for what you’d expect in a decent testosterone boosting supplement.

Speaking of extraordinary things, looking at the label you’re in for some UFO-related parts for sure! Just take a look at GRTH Factor, TST Factor, Fat Reduction Matrix. Sounds like a weird mix of some low budget porn movie and one of those bloody amateurish ‘fat loss’ commercials. Thank GOD nothing wacky is behind those names – it’s just ordinary ingredients!

Let’s take a relaxed walk and have a close look!

1) GRTH Factor

  • Beta-alanine

This is the first one to be included in this fancy “GRTH Factor” blend. It’s not alpha (clearly), but being beta does no wrong here. Beta-alanine is an amino acid, a non-essential one but it has a lot of value for it not being an essential one (for physically active people especially, that is).

This one enhances your performance levels, mainly for high-intensity, shorter-duration exercises. It raises the carnosine levels in your system and carnosine is a rather potent antioxidant. So keep that in mind!

  • AAKG

The second ingredient listed, this is a rather famous one. Don’t know what AAKG is? I won’t laugh at you (for now) so no worries – it stands for Arginine alpha-ketoglutarate. Arguably the best variation of pure Arginine. It’s notable for improving protein synthesis and insulin sensitivity.

BUT! Most importantly it boosts your nitric oxide production and that means what? It dilates your blood vessels. Now, this is awesome not only for your muscle gains but your little friend will be getting more blood for himself which relates to… yeah, fun times!

2) TST Factor

  • D-AA

This part of the formula is seemingly concentrated on the testosterone boosting factor. Starting with D-Aspartic acid is beautiful in my eyes, can’t go wrong with this one. An amino acid regulating testosterone synthesis and a personal favorite of mine!

The only problem that I have is the fact that they only included 400mg (at highest recommended dose) which looks… well, not enough really. The studies of it doing its job were conducted by utilizing a dose of 3g. That’s 3000mgs for all you mentally handicapped folks!

  • Zinc

Another big hitter in the formula of Somatodrol. This amazing mineral is well-known for being a natural way to increase your manliness. It also comes with the great added bonus of an increase in your sperm count. Quite the bonus, isn’t it!?

The only problem that I have here is that they could’ve used a more readily absorbed by the body form like zinc orotate (or at least a gluconate). Not the end of the world of course, just saying!

Bottle of water with a blister pack

3) Fat Reduction Matrix

  • Cayenne pepper

Might seem like a joke, but only of you’re not familiar with the greatness of these, well… peppers! They’re red, hot (might say, chilly) and they’re a-w-e-s-o-m-e. Period.

Great antioxidant as well as the possible metabolism boosting properties and the hunger suppression effect… it’s got the lot! I can totally see why this was added here.

  • Guarana

To me, this has always sounded like some type of a lizard or something. Don’t you think? Anyway, this is not the case a this is a shrub that hails from somewhere in the Amazon (go figure). The tribesmen there were using it (probably still are) to up their energy.

The whole idea is that it works as an antioxidant, aiding in mental focus, increased stamina, and energy as well as a tool to use your body’s fat and glucose for fuel so that it assists in one’s fat loss goals.

  • Caffeine

I don’t even think I have to explain to you what this is. You are a human being, you have the internet, you live in modern times. Please, tell me that you know what coffee is, even if you don’t drink anything with caffeine!?

Good, you’re amazing! I’ll just mention that it being featured in the ingredient profile of this supplement is probably due to its supposedly metabolism enhancing, fat eliminating and even possibly appetite blunting powers

  • Niacin acid

Fancy name for Vitamin B3. It’s water-soluble (as all other B vitamins) and it mainly impacts serum cholesterol in a good manner, as well as blood glucose levels.

It also has vasodilator abilities plus aiding in muscle recovery.

  • Vitamin B6

Another water-soluble fellow. This one is important for an awful lot of bodily functions, most notably regulating the testosterone creation in your system.

It also up your hemoglobin count so that’s GREAT news for your immune system guys!

  • Vitamin B12

The last part of the whole formula, yet another B vitamin. Not a bad one for sure though, it does help… if fat loss is your primary concern that is!

Once again we have something that ups metabolism, while also exterminating stored fat cells and improving the red blood cells count which translates to better transportation of oxygen throughout your body.

Finally, finally – the ingredient mystery has been busted. Now, let me deliver The Good and The Bad for Somatodrol!

The Good

Thumbs up vector image in green color

First thing’s first, I absolutely MUST point out the fact that this supplement is certainly not among the most popular of the bunch. It’s exactly the opposite and it might even fall under the underground category. That’s not always a bad thing! Or is it?

Time to find out! Here is the positive side of the coin:

  • Fast and adequate delivery
  • Completely natural T booster without any dubious stuff
  • Fully disclosed ingredient formula – no proprietary blends
  • Decent price
  • International shipping
  • 90-day money back guarantee (when you buy three month supply)
  • Versatile product – T booster, pre-workout and fat burner in one
  • Energy and lard reduction ingredients included
  • Normal-sized capsules, easy to consume

Not bad at all really. The supplement itself arrives in a black and yellow (remember that Wiz Khalifa song?) box and once you open it you’re in for a SURPRISE! They didn’t go for a bottle to store the caps, instead, you get blister packs. Now that’s pretty cool and definitely adds a feel of manliness to Somatodrol.

There’s nothing out of the ordinary on the box itself, but the directions offer you two options. It’s basically up to you how you’re going to take it, as it’s either 2 caps per day or 4. Of course, going for the MAXIMUM amount gives you more benefit in terms of a bigger amount of all the key ingredients.

Unfortunately, it shortens your whole cycle so you’ll be running this for less than a month if you consume 4 capsules daily. Actually, it’ll last you exactly 15 bloody days. Not so optimal, but this was the approach that I decided to take. All or nothing for the win!

I can sense your eagerness already, you want to know about The Bad! You do, don’t you?

The Bad

Thumbs down vector image in red color

This site is NOT a place for folks that want to read only about positive things and nothing else. Why? Because we can find the truth only through honesty! If you want to be optimally informed about anything (not just supplements), you need to be familiar with both the pleasant and unpleasant aspects.

Back on topic now, you’re probably tapping your foot in nervousness as you wait for the not-so-wonderful elements of Somatodrol:

  • Guarantee only applies if you order a three-month cycle (3 boxes)
  • Directions tell you to take it before a meal – not optimal for me
  • Some ingredients are not as optimally dosed
  • Price might be not so decent if you opt for the higher dosage protocol
  • Lack of brand awareness
  • Weird name – gives the initial impression of being a steroid

Yep, yes, aye, yeah, ya… this is my OWN intake on the drawbacks of this one. They’re not a lot, but not so few either. Keep in mind that you might have a different view about it, but you can only have an opinion AFTER you’ve tried something. So I don’t speak out of my arse here, this is what I think about it after using a 60 capsule box.

To stay on track, it should be noted that it’s testosterone boosting that we’re mainly discussing here, so fellows… please do take into account that Somatodrol is a bit of a hybrid itself. It actually has a fat loss part in its formula, so it could be looked upon as a two in one of some sort.

And this brings me to the conclusive moments. My FINAL…

Verdict

Wooden judges gavel on pure white background

Lights – check. Personal opinion – check. Unbiased – check. Two cents – check.

Thank you, everyone, for reading this, time to go now, see you… Maybe not so fast, eh!? Somatodrol, are you ready for your ultimate sentence? Doesn’t matter, because I will judge you accordingly!

Alright, I don’t want to seem as too negative, it wouldn’t be fair. It’s just that I was probably expecting more, I had high hopes so to speak. This booster is rather cool in its own way as it’s unique, it stands out from the crowd.

You can utilize it as a testosterone booster, a pre-workout or even a fat burner! Quite the versatile product that is, without ANY shadow of a doubt.

If you’re curious whether or not it’ll do the job for you, it’s your call to check it for yourself. As I stated earlier, my overall impression is decent, certainly not the worst I’ve tried. But if it wants to play with the big boys it’ll have to raise your game for sure!

  1. Hey Simon, thanks for this, I actually been thinking about testosterone boosters, been trying to bulk up a bit and also trying to keep my energy level high, I was wondering, how beginner friendly is this product? would you recommend something else to someone like me who is just starting using testosterone? thanks for the help.

    • Yo Victor,

Somatodrol is fairly beginner friendly if you ask me. There’s nothing fancy or out of the ordinary to scare you away or something. The caffeine included is dosed in small amounts so don’t expect jitters or crazy insomnia after using it!

As for something else worth trying – TestoFuel is without ANY doubt such product. Make sure to give me a shout if you decide to use any of these.

      Cheers and God bless,

  2. Hello

Great review on this product, this product does sound to be an awesome product with many positive results for anyone looking for the results you mentioned in your article.

My only concern is how safe is a product like this one, long-term can it cause any problems or damage? I do use a few nutrition supplements to recover from my workouts, how about you?

    • Hey!

I doubt you’ll experience any side effects from Somatodrol. My experience with it was free of any unwanted aspects so personally, for me, it’s a safe supplement. In terms of long term use – anything beyond three months would NOT be needed in my opinion.

You said you’re using post-workout supplements – protein perhaps? As for me, well I’m only relying on a Whey protein currently after my workouts – plain and simple.

      Cheers and God bless,

  3. Nice review Simon, this Somatodrol sounds like an interesting little T booster for the price which i think is decent, and with the 90 day money back guarantee i feel obliged to grab a few boxes in the future to try.

I understand you were a bit disappointed with the results, but still it has some really good ingredients, and lets be honest anything that gives some extra energy on the mats is always helpful, and some extra libido in the bedroom keeps the missus happy 🙂

Any additional side effects you’ve heard of? Good or bad. Thanks for sharing this bro!

    • Welcome aboard Marley!

Somatodrol is interesting for a lot of reasons, the main one being it’s out of the ordinary ingredient profile.

I was let down by the fact that they didn’t enforce the testosterone boosting part of the formula. Everything else is where it should be – might even use it pre-workout or as a fat burner even.

But you’re right – the extra stamina plus a stiffer rod are ALWAYS welcomed.

In terms of additional adverse effects – not really. During my time being on this product, I didn’t feel anything unpleasant.

      Cheers and God bless,

  4. Hey Simon,

This looks like an interesting testosterone product. It sounds safe to use and it seems like it doesn’t cause any negative after effects. I personally don’t consume products for working out, but for someone beginning to use a product like this, is it better to use a smaller dose before each workout, or should one just use normal doses? Looking forward to your input.

    • Hey there.

Somatodrol is pretty safe indeed – from my own experience it was top notch in terms of safety.

If you’ve never used any testosterone booster or a pre-workout supplement, then by all means – start with the minimum amount. This means 2 (two) capsules per day would suffice for you as a beginner.

Give me a shout if you need more info!

      Cheers and God bless,

  5. I will say that this was a very interesting read. Even though I’m still not sure how to pronounce the word Somatodrol, I feel like I want to try it. I agree that today’s world is drowning and testosterone boosters and I have to admit that I have tried quite a few of them myself with little to no results at all. This product does peak my curiosity though. The 90 day guarantee gives me a lot more confidence in giving yet another testosterone booster a try. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Keep up the good work!

    • Hey there.

The name of this T booster is rather funky, mainly because it sounds steroid-like, while it’s just a supplement.

If you decide to give it a try, it’ll be interesting how your experience with it compares with mine – feel free to share your testimony afterward.

The 90-day guarantee only works if you order three bottles which will last you three (3) months. This makes it a bit tricky to make use of the guarantee if you only plan to try one bottle.

      Cheers and God bless,

  6. Hi Simon

A good while back I made the mistake and took anabolic steroids without even doing proper research about it, and as you probably know it messes one’s hormones up completely and that’s exactly what happened to me. My test levels are lower than normal as I did not do a proper pct. Will Somatodrol help me getting that balance back in my hormones? I will definitely stay away from anabolics and keep it natural in the future.
    Great article.

    • Hey and welcome!

Aw man, doing no PCT is such a mistake. Your endocrine system will eventually catch up but it might take a while, no doubt.

Somatodrol would be too weak for PCT I’d say – something more potent would be needed in such case.

But like you’ve said – do STAY AWAY from bloody steroids next time. I’ve been there and trust me – it’s not worth it.

      Cheers and God bless,

  7. Simobrat
I think your review on this was great you where honest in your own testimonal words since you have tried that I believe thats what people are looking for when they are looking to buy something especially like this! You don’t want to keep trying pill after pill you want the situation resolved so you can go on.
Very informational and honest review, I like it and I would recommend this to a guy.
    Thank you,

  8. Hey Simon, love your writing style man. Enjoyed your review thoroughly. 10 on 10 for writing.

Going to bookmark this site for more awesome reviews.

    Thanks, will see you later!

Hey wait, I completely forget why I decided to comment on the first place. I wanted to know if I can take these bad boys with the other stuff I am taking right now, which is

    1. Hydrolyzed whey protein.
    2. Pre workout
    3. And last, Glutamine.

Also, did you feel any side effects while consuming these boosters?

Do reply whenever you feel like or don’t, it’s completely up to you!

Just kidding, waiting for your reply. Thanks for the help 🙂

    Aman

    • Yo and welcome aboard!

First off, apologies for the delayed response! I appreciate your kind words man, high five.

Combining a testosterone booster (Somatodrol in this case) with a protein, a pre-workout, and a Glutamine supplement would not be a problem at all. That’s what many people do to optimize their gains. Just consider how much caffeine your pre-workout has (it probably has at least 100mg I’d imagine) because Somatodrol contains stimulants as well.

      Cheers and God bless,
Simon | Author of Testosterone Nerd
